[Lyle was in one of the corridors during the Commander - no, sorry, Captain's - final announcement. He waits until it's over, and when it is he looks thoughtful, maybe even a little nostalgic. He doesn't want to lose his memories of this place, if there's a chance of that, but, well.... he's got a job to do.

He looks at the sphere, grinning a little lopsidedly at it.]

I guess this is it for us then, huh?

Good point. You just helped rescue thousands from an alien machine, a time loop, and a murderer! I'd say that's a rather impressive track record already.

Here's a newsflash, but so far we've haven't managed to get much farther than the moon, and there isn't much that needs saving there, so I think I'm at a bit of a disadvantage for the number of worlds I can rescue.

It's about the people, not the planets! And come on, it's not like Earth ever really stays rescued. It can count a ton of times over.
