[Lyle appears to be on the beach despite the rain, and looks completely unfussed by the fact that he's now mildly moist.]

Well, what do you know. Looks like the rain just made all of that crazy pollen vanish. Just a guess, but is everyone back to their original gender now? [There's a small grin for a moment.] Allelujahs, Neil and Oliver, I'm looking at you.

[He suddenly begins looking a lot more serious than in either of his previous transmissions.]

Oh, and one more thing - did anyone else catch that weird message about five minutes ago? It might just be me, but that sounds like a chance to get a ticket out of here, assuming that our mysterious new neighbours aren't more likely to just bomb us once they've found what they wanted. What do you guys think?

Hey, after some of the stuff I've seen people do, I wouldn't put it past them until we know what it is they're after. And as for contacting them, I'm not sure yet. I don't think the spheres are powerful enough to find them.

[He looks at her a little oddly.] Are you alright? You look kinda sick.

[identity profile] celestial-okami.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps not, there must be some way....

[Covers her mouth with the hem of her sleeve.] I shifted back to this form, once the rain started...my stomach has not settled quite yet.

[identity profile] not-that-lockon.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm open to suggestions.

Huh... you were one of the ones who was genderswitched, huh?

[identity profile] celestial-okami.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I am not familiar with these technologies, but in the world I come from they used fire for long-distance signals when a courier would not be fast enough. But truthfully I am not entirely sure how it would work. The last thing we need is a wildfire loose here.

[She nods, looking unhappy.] I was. I thought I had always been that way...

[identity profile] not-that-lockon.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 06:30 pm (UTC)(link)
A fire wouldn't be such a bad idea... they mentioned doing a low-altitude fly-by, so chances are they'd see it if we managed to get one going.

So did my friend. But hey, it's over now, right?

[identity profile] celestial-okami.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
We need to find something suitable for burning. I can start a fire without a problem, even with the rain.

That is true. But I believe I have some apologizing to do...

[identity profile] not-that-lockon.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 06:36 pm (UTC)(link)
That's a pretty handy skill you've got there. Wood'd burn well enough, right?

[He's got a knowing smile on his face now.] Let me guess, you did something stupid while you were a guy.

[identity profile] celestial-okami.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
It should.

[Covers her face with her hand and sighs.] More than once.

[identity profile] not-that-lockon.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll go have a look around in a bit, then.

Hey, don't worry too much about it. Guys do stupid stuff all the time.

[identity profile] celestial-okami.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
[She nods.] Fair enough. Ah...my apologies, I do not believe we have spoken before. I am Amaterasu.

Really? I hadn't noticed. [She rubs her sun spiral, maybe the others will forgive her...?]

[identity profile] not-that-lockon.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 08:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Amaterasu, huh? That's quite a name you've got there. Nice to meet you, I'm Lyle.

It's just one of those things. If you apologise they shouldn't hold it against you too badly.

[identity profile] celestial-okami.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 08:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I am very pleased to meet you as well, Lyle.

I hope so, it would be rather upsetting to lose friends over something I did when I was not entirely myself.

[identity profile] not-that-lockon.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
If they're your friends, they'll get it. None of us could help what the crazy pollen did to us.

[identity profile] celestial-okami.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[She hides her face behind her hands.] Not very many people went around naked while they were under its effects either.

[identity profile] celestial-okami.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
[Siiiighs.] I do not usually have a problem with it, but it seems that humans are not as comfortable in their bare skin as I am, so I am not entirely sure what to do.

[identity profile] celestial-okami.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
[She shakes her head, her ears set back.]

[identity profile] not-that-lockon.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
[Laughs a little.] And just when I thought I'd seen it all.

[identity profile] celestial-okami.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
[She smiles, her tail wagging.] You are not dead yet, are you? One never stops learning new things.

[identity profile] not-that-lockon.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 09:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope, and I don't plan on being dead for a while. I just never really expected to be meeting people who aren't human.

[Pause.] Then again, I never expected to suddenly wake up on a spaceship one day either, so I guess it just goes to show.

[identity profile] celestial-okami.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Perhaps others might arrive as well. It would certainly be interesting.

Neither had I! But it appears that is a common thing among those who arrive here.

[identity profile] not-that-lockon.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, as long as they were friendly, I wouldn't say no to meeting any more.

Looks that way, doesn't it?

[identity profile] celestial-okami.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't either, it has been an interesting learning experience.

Mmm! [She nods.]

[identity profile] not-that-lockon.livejournal.com 2009-02-11 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess you're not from Earth, then?
