[Lyle appears to be on the beach despite the rain, and looks completely unfussed by the fact that he's now mildly moist.]

Well, what do you know. Looks like the rain just made all of that crazy pollen vanish. Just a guess, but is everyone back to their original gender now? [There's a small grin for a moment.] Allelujahs, Neil and Oliver, I'm looking at you.

[He suddenly begins looking a lot more serious than in either of his previous transmissions.]

Oh, and one more thing - did anyone else catch that weird message about five minutes ago? It might just be me, but that sounds like a chance to get a ticket out of here, assuming that our mysterious new neighbours aren't more likely to just bomb us once they've found what they wanted. What do you guys think?

[Oliver looks a bit tired but is otherwise back to his normal self]

Yeah, looks like the rain did the trick. Lyle? I uh... [trails off; he has no idea how to say this] Well, you know I wasn't exactly myself...

But I did hear the message, too! I'm going to talk to the Doctor. And the other passengers... If we work together, we should be able to come up with a way of signaling that ship!

[Smiles.] Hey, Oliver. Good to see you. Don't worry about it.

Yeah. I've heard building a huge fire being suggested, so unless I hear something better, I'm gonna go with that.

[makes a face] Good to be me. I hope it keeps raining!

That sounds like a rather good idea, actually. Who's organizing it?

Almost makes you homesick for our rainy little islands, doesn't it?

It was Amaterasu's idea, I think.

Hah! I suppose it does. Gondovan's desert, so...I think I've missed this, actually.

Good for her! ...she is a she again now, isn't she?

Nothing like standing in the drizzle, after all.

Huh? Oh, yeah. I spoke to her earlier. She seemed to be a little sick from changing back.

[laughs] No, nothing like it!

Ah yeah...that part wasn't pleasant...

Are you okay?

Oh, yeah! 'Course. [makes a face] Sore, though. I think I just grew half a foot...

I wouldn't be surprised.

She could have at least been a little taller, you know? I don't understand that pollen at all...

[uncertainly] I uh...am back to normal now, right? There's nothing else weird I don't know about?

It's alien, that's all I need to know about it.

[Looks at curiously.] Not that I can see. You seem pretty normal to me.

[lets out a sigh of relief] Oh, good. I think the worst part was not knowing...

So, are we all meeting somewhere to build the biggest fire we can?

Yeah, I can see that.

Sounds like a plan to me.

Are there any other ideas going around? We can't miss this chance...

And what did you think of the other things they said? I mean, it sounded military. [is clearly a little uncomfortable about this]

Not that I could see. You never know, though, someone might come up with something.

Yeah, I did wonder about that. [Doesn't look too happy with that thought either, come to that.]

Oh, I'm sure they will! And I'll try to, too.

But if they're searching for life signs, then they're probably looking to help survivors. Right?

I hope so. I haven't really had many previous good experiences with any military, but I live for the day.

Well, no point in worrying about it now! After what that pollen's done, I think I'm just going to hope this is a sign things are getting better.

And if worst comes to worst, I know that a few of us'll be ready for some sort of fight.

[frowns] You know, you could stand to work on that optimism now and then. They haven't done anything hostile yet!

Hey, I'm perfectly optimistic. I just like to be prepared.

[frowns] Well, you're right in any case. I'm sure there are plenty of passengers who could handle a fight.

Then either way, we'll be alright.

So, if we're gonna try and attract our new neighbours' attention, I'll be off to collect some wood.

Sounds good. I'm gonna get a hold of the Doctor, and then we'll start helping wherever it's needed.
