[Well, some time during his previous wanderings in the forest Lyle happened to come across a dagger and he's now sitting pretty in some get-up that looks a little like this. He's also since discovered that he's suddenly a lot more agile - which explains why he's now sitting comfortably in the branches of one of the trees.

... or at least, he was until a group of archers suddenly started shooting at him, almost making him tumble from the tree in surprise. And they don't look very friendly.]

[okay, better plan. He'll just be shimmying down this tree really fast now and running away, with the sphere happily recording every detail of this misadventure. There is no shame in running from a group of archers when you are one man with a dagger!]

Okay, the running from people I've done before, but they didn't have arrows. [As if to illustrate his point, one of the aforementioned arrows whooshes over his right shoulder. Yep, he'll just be running until he finds a place to lose them or he finds something in these new clothes that'll help him get out of this situation!]

Good. [surveys Lyle and his clothing] They didn't say anything about what they had against you, did they?

Nah, not really, but I think I could probably make a few educated guesses.

Yeah... [based on Lyle's clothing, he's thinking the same thing] But come on, we should get out of here.

Let's just go deeper into the forest. We should probably avoid the towns for now.

[laughs, looking back at the town that's only just visible through the trees] Right now, I don't think I'm going to argue with you.

Good, 'cause that would've been a very one-sided argument.

[dryly] I can believe it.

I think the captain enjoys setting us up to be attacked in these...fake worlds.

As far as hobbies go, that one really sucks.

At least we get cool abilities?

[laughs] You mean at least you get cool abilities, Mr. Zap Everyone With Lightning.

Hey, there's gotta be something you can do, too!

Until I discover what that is, I'll be waiting in anticipation.

Well, have you tried anything?

Not really. I mean, I can climb trees a lot easier if that counts.

That's a start! Maybe you've got some really cool physical abilities.

[laughs] I think you're trying to make my deal sound more impressive than it really is, Oliver.

When you're getting chased by that pack of angry archers, you don't really think about trying to work out what weird new abilities you've suddenly got.
