When the sphere switches on, it looks like Lyle's the latest to be hit by the no-holds-barred anomaly extravaganza that's going on at the moment - so, dear Crucible passengers, you currently have a twelve-year-old on your hands who looks about 3 parts lost and uncertain and one part unimpressed.

Neil? Amy? Where are you guys? If this is some sort of prank, it's not very funny. And you didn't have to steal my clothes.

[He folds his arms, the sleeves of his oversized top having been rolled up so he can use his hands better. He's also looking a lot more nervous now that he's not getting a response.] Come on, guys, you can come out now!

I dunno... I kinda wanted to see [insert name of film from 2295 here], but if this spaceship has got people from everywhere it might not have it, right?

Hmm...yeah, it might not, but we should still look. And what sort of movie is that? Maybe we could find something similar.

Some sort of adventure film I think. People at school were saying it was good.

[scanning the list; he hasn't heard of half of these, but one of the names he stops and stares at, pointing at it.]

Is that the original or the remake? [the name of the film he's pointing at? Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.]

Ohhh, look at the picture! It's gotta be the original. [at least, he hopes so. the discovery of the movies containing a clone playing Jack Bauer have thrown him off a bit] [grins at Lyle] Wanna see it?

Then let's go! [starts forward, but almost immediately stops] No, wait. Popcorn first! [changes course, heading toward the concession stand]

The toffee flavoured stuff.

They just might. [leads him up to the stand] Just scan your barcode there [points] and tell it what you want.

Um, toffee flavour popcorn, please... [and he looks pretty darn amazed when the stand produces some, in one of those traditional popcorn holders you get at the cinema as well.]

[grins, amused at his expression] Just like you wanted? You can get something to drink, too.

[grinning at that, he turns back to the scanner to ask for a Coke before turning back to Oliver.] You want anything?

[He totally just wants an excuse to carry on using his barcode. Really.]

[can totally tell] Yeah, popcorn with lots of butter! And to drink, I'll have a... [no, wait. this is Lyle, but this is Lyle as a kid. definitely not the time for alcoholic beverages] ...another Coke. And let's get some candy, too! Whatever you like best.
